Life Changing....

Have you ever had one of those moments that you realize that you are bored with your life? I am having one of those moments now. With sermons and small groups the past few weeks being on changing your life and how to get out of ruts, I have realized that I am stuck in a rut. Even though im constantly going and doing many different fun things, I have become stuck in the scary rut of life. The one you rarely realize you are in. The rut where you realize that you are so caught up in living that you forgot what you are living for. God has been my focus but sometimes it feels like I am so caught up in living for Him that I forget to put Him first. I know crazy, right? But then if you think about it, it happens to the best of us. We try to see what we can do next for God and maybe sometimes that missions project or that trip was not where God wanted you to be, but you were looking for somewhere to serve, and didn't pay attention to God's still small voice saying no. Well I have been ignoring that still small voice saying no. I have run myself thin trying to please everyone and everything. Thinking that I was serving God when in reality He just wants me to drop the plates and focus on Him. I have also realized that I have become stuck in the rut of continuity. I do the same things over and over again. I have decided to change that by taking up new hobbys. Right now I am working on rock climbing, then scuba diving, then much much more. So for all of you who are stuck in the rut of life and not truly living...open up and take the chance. Live and learn. Learn what you can do in the world. And most importantly remember that you don't have to be carrying everything, instead give it all to God and put Him first in your life.

Christian Guys...How Awesome are They!

I think that every female has something different that they look for in a man. My list is very similar to most other girls in that I have superficial items such as successful and tall. But, I have something that few girls have on their list, but every girl needs. A Godly christian man. There are so few out there in the world today that many single christian girls wonder if they will ever find one. Props to the guys who stand up against the world and decide to make a stand and be the leader. I've noticed that too many times the guy will be to scared to ask a girl out, or the girl will take the stance that girls are equal to guys and ask a guy out only to have the girl take charge of the relationship. Those guys out there that will take the initiative and be the leader in the relationship are few and far between. And, girls if you have one you are extremely lucky. Although I don't currently have a boyfriend, I have the most amazing Godly guy friends! My guy friends watch out for all of us girls. They will walk us to the car at night so that groups of drunk guys don't say crude things to us. They guard our hearts, even though we may never date or marry these guys, they still watch out for our well being. They take the time to answer questions for us to help you continue our growth in Christ. Overall they are amazing. And for all those single christian young people out there, there is a guy or girl worth waiting for and one day God will provide him or her for you! Until then, be a sister/brother to your friends and help each other improve themselves.

A Little Something to Remember

Sitting here tonight after an incredible yet long day I have come to realize how amazing my friends truly are. I can call them for anything even if its just to sit and talk. I have also come to realize after a nearly hour long chat with one of my very best friends, that I am not the only person who has to deal with parents, school, and the other chaos that life brings. I love my family, friends, life and church and I'm super stoked to see what God will be doing in my years to come!
